Western Christmas Wreaths

Nothing says “Merry Christmas, c’mon in” like a giant fern Christmas wreath displayed on the front door!  Is there a more perfect way to set the mood for a holiday occasion than with wreath that has a touch of western flair?

Finding a western Christmas wreath is easier said than done.  This also depends on the area you live in.  If you have access to a farm and ranch supply store, you may have an easier time than someone living in downtown Atlanta.  So a wreath is not only a way to set the mood for the festive holiday season, but it is a way to exercise our creative juices.  Now do not shy away just yet!  There are plenty of blogs about how to create a Christmas wreath, and yes, buying a wreath and wrapping it with cowboy themed ribbon does count!

This week I am going to show you some of my favorite western or lodge themed wreaths.

Let the wreath capture the nature around you (or you wish was around you). This wreath does a terrific job with the faux frost, the pinecones, and antlers. | Stylish Western Home Decorating

This wreath looks like it should be hanging on a barn door. Perfect example of how it does not have to be “cowboy” to be western. The bows are easy to create too. | Stylish Western Home Decorating

It’s winter… we all know you are not riding in the cold. Hang a pair of spurs on your wreath, wrap it with ribbon, and is that a chili pepper? Please, for the cowboy theme, use western spurs, not English like HGTV used. | Stylish Western Home Decorating

How easy is this? Buy a used rope for $5 and tie bandanas and holly to it. Now that is a western wreath! | Stylish Western Home Decorating

Are you too busy to make your own wreath during the holiday season?  I know some Etsians that would love to make one for you!
